1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Ryvos website (ryvos.dev), downloading the Ryvos software, or using any Ryvos services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ryvos is an autonomous AI assistant software built in Rust that runs locally on your infrastructure. The Service includes the Ryvos software, documentation, website, and any related tools or updates provided by us.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

4. Software Licence

4.1 Grant of Licence

Subject to these Terms, Ryvos grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the Ryvos software for your personal or internal business purposes.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the software, except as permitted by the applicable open-source licence
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except as permitted by law
  • Use the software for any unlawful, harmful, or malicious purpose
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or branding from the software
  • Sublicense, sell, resell, or redistribute the software as a standalone product
  • Use the software to build a competing product or service

4.3 Open-Source Components

Ryvos may include open-source components governed by their respective licences. Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under those open-source licences, and those licences take precedence where they conflict with these Terms.

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your use of Ryvos complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms (including the terms of your LLM provider).

5.2 Security

Ryvos includes a 5-tier security system designed to classify and control agent actions. However, you are solely responsible for:

  • Configuring appropriate security tiers for your use case
  • Reviewing and approving high-risk (T3) actions before execution
  • Securing your API keys, credentials, and infrastructure
  • Monitoring agent activity in your environment
  • Ensuring Docker sandboxing is properly configured when executing untrusted commands

5.3 Data and Content

You retain ownership of all data processed by Ryvos on your infrastructure. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process such data and that your use complies with applicable data protection laws.

6. Intellectual Property

The Ryvos name, logo, website design, documentation, and all associated trademarks, trade names, and branding are the property of Ryvos and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Ryvos name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Services

Ryvos integrates with third-party services including but not limited to LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama), messaging platforms (Telegram, Discord, Slack), and Docker. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RYVOS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content or output
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Security or safety of agent-executed actions

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or harmful. You assume all risk associated with using AI-generated content and executing agent actions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RYVOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ryvos and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ryvos operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ryvos regarding the use of the Service.
